Hi, I’m Jacob McMillen aka The Cyborg Writer.

11 years ago, I started my career as a freelance copywriter and managed to hit six figures in my second year freelancing full-time.

Next, I dove into SEO, securing #1 spots in Google for hyper-competitive search terms like “copywriter”, “website copywriting”, “email copywriting”, etc. This kickstarted my second act as an SEO and content marketing consultant, where I helped clients nab their own hyper-competitive rankings on minimal budgets via a specialized longform writing approach.

After years of making other people money with my writing, I thought, “Why not build my own content-driven businesses?” so I entered my third act as a solopreneur with a small portfolio of online businesses, including a coaching business where I’ve helped thousands of copywriters land their first freelance gigs and hundreds cross the $10k/month milestone.

When GPT3 was released in 2020, I started paying close attention to AI. I invested in the seed round of several tools built on GPT3, began teaching writers about how to leverage AI for outlines and brainstorming, and was brought in as an AI consultant for some of the biggest venture capital firms.

With the release of GPT4, I recognized a generational shift in copywriting, online search, and frankly, the entirety of online business. I put everything else on the backburner, focused all my attention on mastering AI for copywriting, and turned my love of science fiction into the cheesiest rebrand you’ve ever seen.

Fast forward to today, and I’m doing a bit of everything — writing, consulting, coaching, and growing my portfolio of online business — all using AI to help me write better, faster, and more profitably than at any point in my career.
