MY NOT-SO EASY BEGINNINGS IN FOREX

When I first started Forex, I was led to believe technical analysis, fundamentals and indicators on charts were necessary to read price action. I was under the impression that to execute a trade I would have to go through complicated systems to know wether price would go UP or Down. After losing $120,000 in the first year trying to learn ALL the indicators possible, I quickly realised there was something I was doing wrong.

In the real world, when you learn more, you achieve more. When you put in the hours, you get real results. However when it comes to trading Forex, that is NOT the case. The markets are completely different than the real world. Here, simplicity wins. Price action wins. Although price will ONLY move up or down, I felt like I don’t need to complicate things to figure out which linear direction price would move. Once I truly understood that, everything changed for me!

WILL I MAKE MILLIONS IN THE MARKET ?

That is absolutely possible ! BUT, not in the first year. There are ‘gurus’ out there who will lead you to believe that you can make millions by following their signals, or taking their course, to having them to manage your account. That is all a facade.

Ofcourse as a trader, our focus is to be financially free, and for trading to pay for our bills right ? Yes ! BUT, it will happen over time. My philosophy is; for that to happen, you need to focus on paying small bills at a time.

However, what WILL happen is that your losses will be smaller than before. The reason why we have so much focus on keeping losses smaller, is because a traditional trader will ALWAYS focus on making more money in the beginning, and as a result he/she loses a lot. So when you can focus on stopping the bleeding, the winners comparatively to losses, automatically seem bigger.
